If your alarms are not refreshing automatically, there are a few factors to consider:
- A refreshed posting will not trigger an alarm match if you have one set. Refreshed postings are postings that have been in our database that the poster wants to appear as brand new. DAT does not consider them to be a new posting though. The timestamp of the posting will reflect 0 minutes old, but anyone with an alarm set will not see it as a new posting. However if you refresh, or re-run, your search, these 'refreshed' postings will appear as new results that you fell should have shown up automatically. This was implemented as users did not like seeing the same posting triggering their alarm every 15 minutes.
- When you run a broad search that returns thousands of results, you will see that the search indicator will say MAX. This means that you will not receive any new matches as they arrive. To ensure you receive new matches, try narrowing down your search criteria. For example, you can search a smaller area, or search back fewer hours. As long as your search returns under 1000 exact matches, you will continue to receive new matches.
- If you are using the refresh button in your browser to see if there are new matches that didn't appear, this is essentially the same as doing a brand new search. A new search will show refreshed postings, making it appear as if there are new matches. However, these are not new matches and would not trigger an alarm match.
- If you use the refresh button in your browser, this will bring back any matches that you had previously hidden using the Hide function. This, too, can make it appear as if there are new matches.
- Internet traffic between you and DAT is subject to the speed you are currently getting from your internet provider. This differs from one user to the next, so users could receive matches seconds before other users based on the speed of your internet at that time.
After taking into consideration these factors, if the loadboard is still not refreshing you can try these troubleshooting steps.

Adjust date/time
- Right-click on the clock in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar.
- Select "Adjust date/time" from the menu.
- In the Date & Time settings, ensure that the "Set time automatically" toggle is enabled. This allows your computer to synchronize its time with an online time server automatically.
- If the "Set time automatically" toggle is disabled, enable it by clicking on the switch. You may also need to click on the 'Sync now' option to force it to sync. Windows will attempt to synchronize the time with the default time server. If your computer is connected to the internet, this should update the time to the correct value.
